Scanning Photographs

Postby clneilson » Fri Jun 26, 2009 2:53 pm

Can I scan pictures with our document scanner, or should I purchase a flat bed? They don't have to be the best quality, but I do what them to look good. The scanned photographs will be placed on our company website.

clneilson,

This depends greatly on the type of document scanner that you have. If you have a color document scanner it should work fine. If you are using a document scanner that uses a U-shaped scanning path or any type of path that bends the pictures you will want to make sure that you aren't scanning pictures that will be damaged by the scanner. The best thing to use is a flat bed or a scanner with a straight feed path.
