Xerox DocuMate 262 keeps rolling

Hello,

I own the DocuMate 262 and have Windows 7.

My scanner, at the end of a set of documents, keeps the scrolling wheels rolling for several seconds after the last page has been scanned. This causes a paper jam error.

Any ideas what might be wrong and what I might do to fix the situation?

Inside of each scanner there are quite a few sensors and one of these sensors detect whether there is a page to be fed through the scanner or not. There is another sensor as well that is in the scanner that detects whether there is a page in the scanner or not. One of these two sensor may have failed or are not detecting because they have gotten dirty. I would suggest trying to clean the scanner first. If that does not work it will probably be something that only a technician can fix.
